Reeves family presents program at Rotary

Mark Reeves, Rotary member, and his family presented Christmas songs for Rotarians and their spouses and guest at the recent meeting. Singing and playing were four of Mark Reeves’ adult children, Rachel, David, Arron and Philip. They chose a variety of old Christmas songs as well as the traditional fun songs sung at Christmas. For a closing, Reeves asked the audience to join with his family in singing. This group performed at the Buffalo Mall on Christmas Eve from 2 to 4 p.m.
Katie Anderson welcomed everyone to the meeting, Gail Martin gave the table blessing, and Mike Smyth collected numerous “Happy Dollars” for Rotary projects like Polio Plus. Guests were Jacob Speckman and Julia Reeves. National Honor Society student for December is Ligia Schulz, a junior at Jamestown High School. She is the daughter of Joyce and Mike Schulz, is involved in soccer, student council, NHS, choir and band. Her favorite subject is physics. Hobbies are bowling, playing the piano and teaching Sunday school. After high school graduation she would like to major in physics.
Beth Martin is in charge of today’s program, the invocation will be given by Mike Smyth, music with Austin Bauer and Reeves, and sergeant-at-arms is Jenn Bollingberg. Becky Thatcher is the program for Jan. 5, Shelly Miedema, Jan. 12, Cali Sailer, Jan. 19, and Mark Olson has the program for Jan. 26.
Rotary meets every Tuesday at 12:10 p.m. at the Quality Inn & Suites. Rotary is a local as well as an international organization which promotes “Service above Self.” Everyone is welcome.
