FARGO – Join Audubon Great Plains and the Nome Schoolhouse for the 2nd annual Nome Schoolhouse Birding Retreat in Nome, North Dakota, on Saturday, May 27. At the retreat, participants will enjoy birding with Senior Coordinator of Engagement Meghan Carter-Johnson from Audubon Great Plains, and needle felt your own Meadowlark with Teresa Perleberg of Bear Creek Felting.
Birding begins early Saturday morning where participants will identify native species of birds and waterfowl including Hooded Mergansers, American Redstarts and Green-winged Teals.
Participants are encouraged to stay Friday, May 26 , in the renovated Nome Schoolhouse boutique hotel or just join for the day on Saturday.
Registration is $185/person, which includes two meals, snacks, coffee and water, provided by the
Nome Schoolhouse, and materials for crafting. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to
Audubon Great Plains
