Snow removal to begin Wednesday afternoon in residential areas

Jamestown city crews will be clearing snow in the residential areas on Wednesday afternoon, April 5, and continue until finished, according to the city engineer's department.

City crews will be clearing snow in the downtown business districts at 11 p.m. Wednesday and continue until finished.

The schedule is contingent upon changing weather conditions, snow accumulation totals and blowing and drifting snow.

Residents should note that person should not remove snow, slush or ice from private property or from any driveway, curb cut, or sidewalk and deposit it upon the surface of any street or alley within the city. The snow and ice may be removed by the city and the expense charged against the abutting lot or property.
