At the Jamestown Lions Club's Sept. 28 meeting, Dwaine Heinrich introduced guest speaker Amber Schultz, manager of Curaleaf in Jamestown.
Schultz explained the process of getting medical marijuana products. She said the North Dakota Health Department has a Division of Medical Marijuana that oversees all aspects of the process. Curaleaf’s product offerings include flower, pre-rolls, tinctures, vape cartridges, concentrates, capsules and topicals offered by state-licensed manufacturers.
In other business, Kathy Boe presided over the meeting and led with the Pledge of Allegiance. Ed Anderson gave the table prayer. Randy Lebahn introduced guest Andrew Kirking. The club will be hosting a one-day blood drive on Nov. 27 and Meals on Wheels delivery was Oct. 7. The annual raffle tickets have been distributed and can be purchased from any Lion member. The drawing will be on Dec. 14.
The next meeting will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Sabir's Buffalo Grill. The guest speaker will be Amy Walters, Jamestown Parks and Recreation District executive director. All guests are welcome and for information on membership, contact Randy Lebahn, 701-320-1678.
