Students who colored a patriotic picture received a flag as a participation gift. First and second place winners at each school received a “photo trophy” and a monetary prize. The civic holiday is observed on the third Monday in April, adopted in Noth Dakota in 2019 when Gov. Doug Burgum signed a proclamation. Auxiliary members from left: Linda Misemer, Landa Kollman, Mary Klundt and Pam Golde and Golde's grandson, Auden Kehl.
