The Ypsilanti 50+ Club met on April 9 at The Legacy Center for a lunch meeting. Harriet Lien opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag. The secretary's and treasurer's reports were read and approved. There was discussion on recruiting new members and programs for future meetings. Bart Srozinski and Judy Frey were guests and joined the club.

Ona Medeiros gave a number on the piano. Alicia Harstad, Stutsman County Extension agent, was the guest speaker. She shared what is happening in the county with the SNAP program, 4-H and other ways her office is involved throughout the county. Stutsman County has 170 members ages 5-18 and many programs for all ages. Harstad brought many handouts and encouraged members to get involved in several webinar activities that are available. A spring gardening Saturday was scheduled for May 4.

It was agreed that Diane Hastings would arrange a cleaning date for the schoolhouse. The club’s next meeting will be a potluck at the schoolhouse on May 14.
