Ruoxi Zheny, Spiritwood, N.D., has been chosen by American Legion Auxiliary Unit #14, Jamestown, to attend Flickertail Girls State June 6 to 11 on the campus of University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.
The Girls State program is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. It is a program for leadership and citizenship seminar for girls in the 11th grade. It is a nonpolitical and nonpartisan week spent in learning the functions of city and state government.
Local contributors to the Girls State program this year were Kiwanis and Optimist clubs.
