ND teen dies in crash near LaMoure

A Fullerton, N.D., teen died following an early morning crash Saturday near LaMoure, N.D., according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Micah Wagner, 18, was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 about 2 1/2 miles south of LaMoure when the crash happened at 7:30 a.m.

The patrol said Wagner lost control of the vehicle on a gravel road. The vehicle went into the east ditch, through a barbed wire fence, into a pasture and overturned. Three of the five people in the vehicle were ejected, the patrol said; no one in the vehicle was wearing seat belts.

All five were injured and transported to Oakes Medical Center, where Wagner died, the patrol said.

The others in the vehicle were Dylan Eull, 21, Verona, N.D.; Daniel Haugen, 18, LaMoure; a 15-year-old Dickey, N.D., girl and a 14-year-old Litchville, N.D., girl.

Also responding to the crash were the LaMoure County Sheriff's Office and LaMoure County Fire and Ambulance.

The patrol is still investigating the crash.
