ND's federal bankruptcy court judge sworn in
FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Shon Hastings has been sworn in as the federal bankruptcy judge for North Dakota.
The Forum reports that she is North Dakota's first female bankruptcy court judge.
Hastings is a Hazen native and was sworn in Friday in Fargo. She succeeds William Hill who retired in August after nearly 30 years on the bench.
Hastings was chosen by the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to fill the 14-year appointment. She spent the past 14 years as an assistant U.S. attorney.
