The Dakota Prairie Regional Center for the Arts will perform the musical comedy “Don’t Hug Me, We’re Married,” April 5-22 at the Old Church Theatre in New Rockford.

The musical will be directed by Deb Belquist and features 16 original songs including “Lower Expectations” and “We’re All Gonna Die.”

The Dakota Prairie Regional Center for the Arts has put on other musicals and plays in the “Don’t Hug Me” series. The musicals were written by Phil and Paul Olson, brothers from Edina, Minn. According to information from www.donthugme.com, Paul is a medical doctor and Phil is a businessman who wrote his first play when he was

Other musicals in the series include: “Don’t Hug Me;” “A Don’t Hug Me Christmas Carol;” “A Don’t Hug Me Country Fair;” and “Don’t Hug Me, I’m Pregnant.” The musicals have been performed in the U.S., Canada and Australia.
