Music in the City Park Bandshell returns in Valley City with the Valley Troubadours on Wednesday, June 2. The event begins at 7:15 p.m. in City Park. The event, sponsored by Valley City Parks & Recreation Department, will begin with cake being served starting at 7 p.m. in observance of 25 years of the event.

The Valley Troubadours is a men’s choir established in 1975. The group is comprised of men of varying ages who perform a variety of music. The men’s group is directed by John Monilaws and accompanied by Cyndi Hill.

People attending are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. A freewill offering is taken to assist in continued work on the bandshell as well as programs. In case of inclement weather, the program will be relocated to the Valley City State University Foss Music Hall.

Music at the City Park Bandshell is sponsored by Valley City Parks & Recreation, NewsDakota, the Bridges Arts Council, Myron Sommerfeld family, CVB Valley City and the North Dakota Council on the Arts.
