Alicia R. Lauf and Dale C. Pekarski, both Dickey, N.D., announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
Parents of the couple are Jerry and Gloria Lauf, LaMoure, N.D., and Daniel and Penny Pekarski, Dickey.
Alicia's grandparents are Reuben Ackerman, Gackle, N.D., and the late Alma Ackerman, and the late Albert and Fern Lauf.
Dale's grandparents are the late Jerry and Lyla Pekarski and the late Dave and Helen Anderson.
Alicia is a 2001 graduate of LaMoure High School, LaMoure, and a 2008 graduate of North Dakota State University, Fargo, N.D., with a doctorate in pharmacy. She is the doctor of pharmacy for Southeast Dakota Pharmacies in LaMoure, Lisbon and Oakes, N.D., and owner of Dickey Bar, Dickey.

Dale is a 1993 graduate of Marion High School, Marion, N.D., and a 1995 graduate of Bismarck State College, Bismarck, N.D., with an associate degree in automotive technology. He is self-employed as a mechanic and owner of Dickey Bar, Dickey.
An Oct. 9 wedding is planned at Zoar Lutheran Church, LaMoure, with a reception and dance at Dakota Summers, Grand Rapids, N.D.
