2023 City of Spiritwood Lake Tax Equaliz

2023 City of Spiritwood Lake Tax Equalization Minutes Tax meeting held Tuesday April 11, 2023 was called to order at 7:00 PM by Mayor Kirk Grimm at 617 Spiritwood Avenue Jamestown, ND In attendance, Tyler Perleberg, Tax Assessor for Stutsman County, Kirk Grimm, Michael Schlecht, Neal Klein, Chip Steckler, and Auditor Krapp. Perleberg presented Assessment Workbook for City of Spiritwood Lake. 2022 Building permits were sent in by Auditor to Stutsman County, this helps keeps records current for the City of Spiritwood Lake. No new construction but 4 sales within last 2 years. County did a Sales Ratio Study county wide this year and found values were at 84% and per State needs to be between 90 to 100 % of market values, with increase Residential is now at 91%. Commercial was 86% and is now at 91% also. Values have increased about 5 % to 10 % overall. Ag land value is based on Production values. Schlecht moved to approve 2022 Tax Equalization minutes, 2nd by Steckler MC Steckler motioned to approve Homestead Credit for Leah Schock, 2nd by Klein, MC Steckler moved to approve tax exemptions for Camp Rokiwan, 2nd by Klein.
