Notice is hereby given that sealed bids are being accepted for one FEMA site in Germania Township, Stutsman County, North Dakota. Bids will be received by Germania Township Supervisor Kenneth Ruff, Box 217, 5588 49th St, SE, Streeter, ND 58483 until 7:00 PM (CST) April 26, 2021. Bids will be publicly opened and considered at 7:00 PM April 26, 2021 at township board meeting held at the same address.
The location of the work to be done starts at the junction of Hwy 46 and 59th Ave. SE, and finishes at approximately 100 feet north of junction. The scope and general nature of the work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and performing all work necessary for performing a grade raise and embankment stabilization for approximately 1100 feet of township roadway. Approximate work is as follows:
189 CY of gravel (surface): 1,110 ft long x18 ft. wide x 3 in. deep 404 CY of pit run (sub base): 1,110 ft long x 18 ft wide x 6 in deep
11,596 CY of embankment (base): 910 ft long x 28 ft wide x 12 ft deep 1,820 SY of filter fabric (under pit run): 910 ft long x 18 ft wide 1,938 CY of rip rap: 1,000 ft long x 35 ft wide x 1.5 ft deep3,875 SY of filter fabric (under rip rap): 910 ft long x 38 ft wide1,820 ft of turbidity curtain: 910 ft on both sides of roadway56 ft of corrugated metal pipe (CMP): 18 in CMP, 56 ft long
All materials should be bid on a per item basis, lump sum bids will not be accepted. Bid all materials as indicated above. All material must come from an approved source.

Germania Township reserves the right to hold all bids 30 DAYS after the date set for the opening thereof and reject any and all bids and waive minor defects.
Work may commence on this project 10 calendar days of being issued a "Notice to Proceed" by the Township. Work, when started, shall proceed in a continuous operation from start to finish. Work on the project shall be completed on or before Nov. 1, 2021.
All bids shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a bidder's bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid, payable to Germania Township as liquidated damages in accordance with North Dakota Century Code {NDCC). In addition, all bids shall be accompanied by a copy of the contractor's license, in effect at least ten days prior to the date set for receiving bids, in the separate envelope with the bidder's bond in accordance with NDCC 43-07-12.
The successful bidder shall provide a performance bond in the amount of the bid pursuant to NDCC 48-01.2-10. The successful bidder shall provide a certificate of liability insurance coverage, a current "North Dakota Workforce Safety & Insurance Certificate of Premium Paid", and a "Contractors Certificate of North Dakota Income and Sales Tax Clearance". Public liability and property damage requirements shall be in accordance with Section 107 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction adopted October 2014.
The bidder's envelope shall be clearly marked to identify it as a sealed bid for: GERMANIA TOWNSHIP GRADE RAISE PROJECT. Addenda, if any shall be acknowledged on the outside of the bidder's envelope and on the bidder's proposal.
No bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to Bond and Licenses, and any deficient bid submitted will be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately.
All bidders are invited to be present at the public opening of the bids.
