BIDS FOR ROAD EQUIPMENT
Stutsman County, North Dakota, will receive sealed bids until 4:00 PM July 17, 2020 to be opened at 8:30 A M., C.S.T., on July 20, 2020 for the purchase of the following:
One (1) new Motor Grader with Snow Wing and Snow Plow.
Bids must be based upon specifications on file in the office of the Stutsman County Highway Department.
Copies of the specifications may be examined or obtained upon request in the office of the Stutsman County Highway Department.
The Bidder shall specify on his Bid Proposal for the purchase of the new machine the trade allowance or bid price, if any; or guaranteed buyback previously on record, for the used 2013 Cat 140M2Motor Grader, Serial No. M9J00764 with Falls snow wing and snow plow to be traded in or sold outright. The Cat 140 M2 Motor Grader that is for sale or trade may be inspected at the Stutsman County Shop in Medina, ND.
BID BOND REQUIREMENT: A bid shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a bidder's bond payable to Stutsman County in a sum equal to 5% of the full amount of the bid, executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in this state as a guaranty that the bidder will enter into the contract if it is awarded to him. When the bid is $10,000 or less the bidder may, in lieu of such bond, submit in a separate envelope a certified or cashier's check equal to 5% of the full amount of the bid made payable to Stutsman County, with direction to the Board that if the bidder is successful in obtaining the award and fails to enter into the contract, that the Board may receive the face amount of the certified check or cashier's check as liquidated damages.
The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept any bids that appear in the best interest to the county.
Bids must be received by the County Auditor not later than 4:00 PM July 17,2020 specified for opening of the bids at 8:30 A M July 20, 2020 at the office of the County Auditor, located at 511 2nd Ave SE, Jamestown, ND 58401.
