BIDS FOR ROAD EQUIPMENT The Board of County Commissioners of Stutsman County, North Dakota, will receive sealed bids until 12:00 Noon March 24, 2023, to be opened at 1:00 P M., C.S.T., on March 24, 2023, for the purchase of the following: One (1) new Motor Grader with New Falls Snow Wing and short post, Snow plow and front hitch. Bids must be based upon specifications on file in the office of the Stutsman County Highway Department. Copies of the specifications may be examined or obtained upon request in the office of the Stutsman County Highway Department. The Bidder shall specify on his Bid Proposals for the purchase of (1) new machine, the trade allowance, or bid price, if any; for (1) used machine 2016 John Deere 772G Motor Grader, Serial No. 1DW772GXLGF674261 with Falls snow wing and short post, and snowplow with front hitch to be traded in or sold outright. The 772G Motor Grader that is for sale or trade may be inspected at the Stutsman County Shop in Jamestown, ND. BID BOND REQUIREMENT: A bid shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a bidder’s bond in a sum equal to 5% of the full amount of the bid, executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in this state as a guaranty that the bidder will enter into the contract if it is awarded to him.” The bond must denote Stutsman County as the oblige.” When the bid is $10,000 or less the bidder may, in lieu of such bond, submit in a separate envelope a certified or cashier’s check equal to 5% of the full amount of the bid made payable to Stutsman County, with direction to the Board that if the bidder is successful in obtaining the award and fails to enter into the contract, that the Board may receive the face amount of the certified check or cashier’s check as liquidated damages. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept any bids that appear in the best interest to the county. Bids must be received by the County Auditor not later than 12:00 Noon, March 24, 2023, specified for opening of the bids at 1:00 pm March 24, 2023, at the office of the County Auditor, located at 511 2nd Ave SE, Jamestown, ND 58401.
