City of Spiritwood Lake Council meeting Tuesday March 7, 2023 Held at Chip Steckler Shop 617 Spiritwood Avenue, Jamestown Mayor Kirk called meeting to order at 7:32 PM Council present Klein, Schlecht, Krapp, Steckler, and Auditor Krapp. Klein moved to approve February minutes 2nd by Krapp MC Financial Statement Steckler moved to approve, 2nd by Schlecht MC Steckler motioned to pay bills, 2nd by Krapp, MC 4009 Shirly Krapp 1108.20 4010 Shirly Krapp internet 20.00 4011 CDS 1068.00 4012 Northern Plains 25.65 4013 Forum Communications 93.72 4014 Chip Steckler mtg rm 40.00 4015 SCD Watershed 8,700.78 4016 Innovative Office Supplies 57.97 Highway Funds 325 Lindberg Bros 375.00 326 Chip Steckler 1,080.00 327 RGP 472.50 328 Jarod Klein 641.25 Old Business: 319 Grant-No updates SE Outlet Update- Approval received from State Water Board. Operating Plan was discussed, final plan needs to be submitted to State and local Water board, will need to obtain some easements. BJ Kratz will be working on getting contractors lined-up and plans finalized. Kirk and Shirly will work with BJ and Dustin to help with final documentation. Removal of Cement Foundation at Sandy Beach-may need to put out bid request to move forward with the plan. Will need to communicate with Stutsman County Commission Walking Path Update-Kirk has been in touch with Bill Steinmetz, signage was discussed. New Business: Waste management paid to date 34 Full time 36 Seasonal-25 left to pay plus businesses. Snow blowing-Discussion on how things are going, tough on equipment and with getting more snow, may need bigger equipment to do the job. RGP-Reimers Farm helped with last snow fall. They would be willing to help in future when needed. Klein made motion to add RGP to our List of Snow Removal people, rate of $135.00 per hour, to be called when needed, 2nd by Steckler MC Shirly presented that the representative for the City of Spiritwood Lake for Jamestown Rural Fire District Board of Directors is up for election this year, this occurs every 2 years. Shirly has served on the district board since 2000 and currently holds the position of Sec/Treasurer for the District since 2004. Steckler motion to allow Shirly Krapp to remain as representative 2nd by Schlecht, MC Krapp moved to adjourn at 8:30 pm 2nd by Klein Next meeting will be TUESDAY, APRIL 11, 2023 Tax Equalization meeting at 7:00 PM Council meeting to follow at 7:30 PM to be held at Chip Steckler Shop Shirly Krapp, Auditor cslauditor2004@gmail.com 701-320-2244 (March 18, 2023)
