In the Matter of the Application of Hometown Credit Union, Kulm, North Dakota to Establish a Branch in Medina, North Dakota LEGAL NOTICE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Hometown Credit Union, Kulm, North Dakota, has made application to the State Credit Union Board to establish a branch office in Medina, North Dakota; the branch will be located at 301 5th Ave SE, Medina, North Dakota 58467. The current field of membership for Hometown Credit Union is limited to a 75 mile radius of Kulm, North Dakota, and a 50 mile radius of Hazelton, North Dakota. The proposed branch would be located within Hometown Credit Union’s current field of membership. In accordance with section 13-03-15-04(2) of the North Dakota Administrative Code, when considering the branching of a credit union the Credit Union Board will review (1) If the branch is for an open charter, and if the application to establish the branch is accompanied by an application to expand the field of membership, the exact geographical boundaries, expressed by city, county, township, or highway boundaries, or a stated radius from the branch office, must be clearly spelled out; (2) Whether serious injury would result to any other state or federally chartered credit union in North Dakota; (3) Whether the credit union has demonstrated the ability to succeed with the branch; and (4) Any other factor that the state credit union board deems pertinent. The State Credit Union Board will act on the application at its regular meeting to be held at 9:00 a.m. on March 4, 2022, in the Conference Room, Department of Financial Institutions, 1200 Memorial Highway, Bismarck, North Dakota. The Board may order a hearing on the application, when it believes to be in the public interest. Written comments may be submitted to the State Credit Union Board concerning the application or a written request for an opportunity to be heard before the Board by contacting the Department of Financial Institutions, 1200 Memorial Highway, Bismarck, ND 58504, or by calling 701-328-9933. Written comments must be received by the Department no later than March 3, 2022.
