Stutsman County has received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the State of North Dakota Division of Community Services (DSC). CDBG funds are intended to provide decent housing, suitable living environments and economic opportunities, principally for low/very low-income persons through rehabilitation and preservation, economic/job development and public facilities improvement.
The project and funding level considered was $20,053.93 for the Streeter Senior Center project.
It is estimated that approximately 51% of the funds benefited low/very low-income persons.
Displacement of neighborhood persons or businesses did not occur, and no housing units were demolished or converted as a result of the above-mentioned projects.
A public hearing will be held at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in the Commission Chambers at the Stutsman County Courthouse, 511 2nd Avenue SE, Jamestown, ND, to obtain citizen views and to respond to proposals and questions related to the performance of Stutsman County in carrying out its community development responsibilities. Written comments are also welcome and must be received at the address below by the close of the public hearing. Oral and written comments will be considered in order to enhance Stutsman County in carrying out its community development responsibilities.
