The meeting was called to order by Mayor Wick, with all members present. The minutes were approved as presented, and the treasurer's report was accepted and motioned for approval by Kuruc and seconded by Snyder. Buskness made a motion and seconded by Martin that the alley between the Clark and Hust houses can be closed. All expenses for closing the alley will fall on Clark and Hust.
Delinquent water bills were discussed and the residents will be notified. Candyce and Sharon reported on the mitigation meeting they attended in Medina. Information needed to be updated to be eligible for Fema payments.
Candyce checked on insurance with Bremer Bank for the all school reunion next summer.
New Business: The C.D. will be renewed at the present months and interest. Candyce is applying for an AARP grant for kitchen supplies and miscellaneous. Final decision was not made at this time for purchases. The city will also apply to gaming for funds. Several improvements were discussed at the meeting. Benches, trees, an ironwork mallard.
The council approved a curb stop at the Dave Ova property. Bills were read and motioned for approval by Rebecca and seconded by Darren. Also, at this meeting the first reading of the new ordinances were presented as prepared by the Dalsted & Ryan Law Office. Kuruc made a motion to accept them as read and Snyder seconded the motion. Second reading will be on April 19, 2021.
April 14, 2021
The council met in the evening for a tax equalization conference call. Wick and Buskness were absent. Present were Kuruc, Martin and Snyder. The workbook was presented to the council by the county. Kuruc made a motion to accept the changes from last year and Snyder seconded. The motion carried. Martin moved to adjourn the meeting and Kuruc seconded. Meeting adjourned
April 19, 2021
All members were present for the second reading of the ordinances. Also present was Brenda Wolf. The ordinances were read by Mayor Wick. A motion was made by Kuruc to accept the ordinances and presented and Martin seconded the motion. The motion carried and Wick adjourned the meeting.
