The North Dakota Department of Health announced 15 new positive tests for the coronavirus in Stutsman County Thursday. The department processed 390 tests from Stutsman County for a daily positivity rate of 4%.
Area counties reporting positive tests include Barnes County with 21 positive tests, LaMoure County reporting 11, Dickey County five, McIntosh, Logan and Foster counties reporting two each, Wells County six and Kidder County three.
Across North Dakota, there were 1,038 positive tests of the 8,378 tests processed for a daily positivity rate of 13.1%. Cass County led the state with 280 positive tests.
The Department of Health reported nine deaths including a man in his 70s and a man in his 50s in LaMoure County, a man in his 50s in Cass County, a woman in her 60s and man in his 70s from Grand Forks County, a man in his 80s from Morton County, a man in his 70s from Richland County and a man in his 90s from Ward County.
All had underlying health conditions. The nine deaths reported Thursday brings the death toll in North Dakota to 431 people since the start of the pandemic in March.
