A Peggy Lee Tribute Concert is at 7 p.m. Friday, July 2, at St. John's United Methodist Church, Wimbledon, N.D. Doors open at 6 p.m. Jamestown's Peggy Lee aficionado and sing-alike, Kate Stevenson, accompanied by pianist Carrie Kraft, will perform.
Pre-concert entertainment is at 6:30 p.m. by former Medora Musical Burning Hill Singers Bethany (Orn) and Levi Andrist. Lee was awarded the Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Award in 1975, and is often featured at the "Medora Musical."
Tickets are a freewill donation, with a suggested donation of $15 per ticket. Tickets will be available at the door at 6 p.m., or may be reserved in advance with a donation by calling Mary Beth Orn at 701-435-2875.
Seating is limited. A second concert may be added at 9 p.m. if the first show sells out.
This concert is a fundraiser for the Midland Continental Railroad Depot (home of Peggy Lee) Restoration Project.
