Jamestown Healing Rooms close
The Healing Rooms of Jamestown is no longer offering services in the community, according to Mary Thom, director.
The weekly healing rooms cost money to operate and the lack of turnout did not make it feasible for volunteers to continue offering confidential prayer sessions, she said.
"The nonprofit board decided to close and we recommend coming to Bismarck for healing sessions," Thom said.
The Healing Rooms of the Northern Plains is located at 1605 E. Capitol Ave., Suite 100, in
Bismarck, Thom said. The healing rooms are open 3 to 8 p.m. Mondays and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, she said. For more information, contact Bob and Lola Copenhaver, directors, at 701-355-4292.
The Healing Rooms are part of the nonprofit International Association of Healing Rooms, founded in 1999 by the Rev. Cal Pierce in Spokane, Wash. Volunteers provide a Christ-centered approach to healing physical, emotional and spiritual needs as a prayer ministry.
