Dr. Paul Larson, president of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren, headquartered in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, will speak via a pre-recorded video during the Sunday, Aug. 9, 9:30 a.m. worship service at Victory Lutheran Church. His message will be presented in all CLB congregations throughout the country as well. “Lord, Save Me!” from Matthew 14:22-33 is the theme of his message.
Larson was born in Clearbrook, Minnesota. After high school, he attended the CLB Bible College in Fergus Falls. He graduated from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, where he served as youth director for Yellowstone LBC. In 1988 he graduated from Lutheran Brethren Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. Larson was a church-planting pastor at Word of Life LBC in Fort Collins, Colorado. He has also served as senior pastor for congregations in Fullerton, California, and Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He and his wife Bee live in Fergus Falls. They have five children.
Victory Lutheran Church offers three worship service opportunities. Worship indoors in the sanctuary at 9:30 a.m. remembering to follow social distancing guidelines. For those not comfortable worshiping indoors, Victory has a drive-in style outdoor service at 11 a.m. Come park in the church’s parking lot and worship from the convenience of your car.
