Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Choir of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, will present “Vera Lux” at Victory Lutheran Church at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 18, as part of its 2021 spring tour. All 44 members of the choir are high school students in attendance at Hillcrest Lutheran Academy. The choir is made up of students from all over the United States, Africa, South Korea, and Brazil.

The concert choir with Jonathan Clark, its new director, will perform a variety of works spanning many different eras and languages. Pieces include "And Can It Be," by Dan Forrest, "Lux Aurumque" by Eric Whitacre and "True Light" by Kieth Hampton among others.

Vocalise, a small ensemble of 11 students, sings in different styles of music from jazz to madrigal to Broadway musicals and many others.

Hillcrest Lutheran Academy is a Classical Christian School closely associated with the Church of the Lutheran Brethren, headquartered in Fergus Falls.

The public is invited to come out for an evening of song and praise. The concert will be free and open to the public, however, a freewill offering will be taken. Victory Lutheran Church is located at 510 9th Ave. SW. The office may be reached at 701-251-1570.
