The number 2 has taken on new meaning for the quarterback who will wear it on his jersey for the Indianapolis Colts this fall.

Former North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz announced on social media Friday, June 11, that he and his wife, Madison, are expecting their second child.

In photos included in the post, Carson, Madison and their 1-year-old daughter Hadley are all wearing blue Colts jerseys with the number 2 on the back, along with either Dada, Mama or Big Sis nameplates.

“#2” should be fun, the post read, along with a smiley emoji.

"Our fam is so excited and can’t wait to meet Hadley’s little sibling later this year," it said.

The couple's daughter Hadley was born on April 27, 2020.

One of the photos features the toddler sitting in a rocking chair holding an ultrasound image of her sibling, along with a Colts helmet and a football.

Wentz was picked second overall in round one of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.

In mid-March of this year, the Colts acquired him in exchange for a 2021 third round draft pick and a conditional 2022 second round pick.
