North Dakota State Hospital and James River Correctional Center hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on March 16 at the North Dakota State Hospital which collected 22 units of blood products for patients in need.

A total of 25 individuals volunteered to donate blood and 20 individuals were able to donate. Two donors provided Power Red cells (2RBC), two units of red blood cells while receiving platelets, plasma and a saline solution. Two people volunteered for the first time.

Vitalant expressed its gratitude to Cindy Sperle-Gee, who coordinated the drive, the NDSH Wellness Committee for sponsoring the blood drive and Tracy Monson, who assisted with the drive.
