The descendants of Johann and Barbara Muller will be gathering at the Prairie Bible Camp/ Lehr Tabernacle on July 9-11 for a family reunion.

The Mullers emigrated from Russia in 1891 and homesteaded in Blue Ball Township in Logan County, North Dakota. Their children, all born in Russia, were Magdalena (Schaffer), John Jr., Jacob, Ludwig, Frederich, Gottlieb, Peter, Konrad and August. Translating their name to English proved challenging and as a result their last names are now spelled Muller, Miller and Mueller.

For the reunion, Friday night will be an opportunity to meet and get acquainted. A tour of the cemeteries at the Schaffer farm, Streeter, Gackle and Neudorf will be held on Saturday morning.

At 5 p.m. there will be a catered meal followed with introductions, pictures, family histories and an auction.

There will be a 10 a.m. memorial service on Sunday, with a presentation of why and how the family's ancestors immigrated from Germany to Russia and finally to America. A catered meal will be served at noon and the afternoon will be spent sharing stories about growing up in a German's from Russia home and visiting.
