BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- A mid-May trial is set for a Bismarck woman accused of causing a fatal crash when she fell asleep driving a cement truck and hit a pickup truck.
Forty-three-year-old Mary Greff is to go on trial May 11-14 on charges of manslaughter and reckless endangerment. She has pleaded not guilty.
Greff is accused of causing the death of 56-year-old Jeffrey Burgess on Sept. 27 on U.S. Highway 83. She also is accused of causing injuries to two of Burgess's passengers and endangering three other drivers.
Greff is free on $1,000 cash bond. If convicted on the manslaughter charge she could face up to 10 years in prison.
