Renovation project at MSU nearly done

MINOT (AP) -- A renovation project at Minot State University's Swain Hall is expected to be completed on schedule, in time for the start of fall classes.

The building was gutted and renovated to provide for the needs of 21st century students. Plant Services Director Roger Kluck said the $13.1 million project is scheduled to be largely completed by mid-August.

About $5 million of the project is being funded through federal stimulus dollars. The rest is state and local funding.

The renovated building will be home for the teacher education, human performance and athletic training programs.
