MINOT, N.D. (AP) -- Minot police have arrested a man allegedly armed with a long-barreled gun who was spotted walking down a street.

Police say 19-year-old Terrance Jackson of New Town was apprehended about 5:30 a.m. Sunday after a foot chase. He's being held in the Ward County jail.

Jackson faces charges of failure to halt, terrorizing, aggravated assault, being a felon in possession of a firearm and unlawful consumption of alcohol. He's also wanted on an outstanding warrant in Stark County.

Police say Jackson assaulted an 18-year-old New Town woman just before his arrest.

No number was listed for Jackson in New Town.
