A single-vehicle rollover accident Monday near Medina caused more than $20,000 in damage, according to the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident happened at 4:06 a.m. on Interstate 94 just west of Exit 230 near Medina.

Hilario Ramirez, 20, South Sioux City, S.D., was driving a 2014 Jeep vehicle westbound on I-94 when he lost control of the vehicle due to icy conditions. The sheriff’s office said the vehicle went off the highway and rolled into the north ditch where it came to rest on its roof.

Ramirez wore his seat belt and was not injured.

The vehicle was totaled, the sheriff’s office said.

No citations were issued.
