37 new cases of coronavirus in Stutsman County; four deaths reported in region

Stutsman County has 37 new cases of coronavirus, according to information released Wednesday, Oct. 28, from the North Dakota Department of Health. The county now has 151 active positive cases.

The North Dakota Department of Health also reported the state had 12 deaths related to COVID-19. Among those were four people in the Jamestown region, two women and a man from LaMoure County, and a man in his 80s from Logan County. The LaMoure County women were in their 90s and 100s, and the man was in his 90s. The other deaths were reported in a man in his 30s from Benson County, a man in his 60s from Burleigh County, a man in his 70s from Mountrail County, and four women and a man in Ward County ranging in age from 70s through 90s.

There have been 488 deaths in the state related to COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

The state reported 781 positive cases Wednesday. Other counties in the Jamestown region reporting cases were Wells, 17; Barnes, Eddy and Foster, five each; Dickey, three; LaMoure and Logan, two each; and McIntosh, one.
