BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- The North Dakota Highway Patrol says more than one-fourth of commercial motor vehicles inspected last week in northwest North Dakota were taken out of service due to equipment defects.
The Bismarck Tribune reports that troopers inspected 151 vehicles and 40 had safety problems and were taken off the road.
The patrol says 12 of 81 truckers had driver violations that required them to be placed out of service.
