LaMoure County declares burn ban

The LaMoure County Commission approved a fire declaration and burn restriction, according to LaMoure County Department of Emergency Services and Emergency Services Communication Systems.

Most of LaMoure County is in a D1 moderate drought designation from the National Drought Mitigation Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Kimberly Robbins, LaMoure County emergency manager, said open burning is prohibited the LaMoure County fire danger rating is high, very high or extreme and/or the National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning.
