EDGELEY, N.D—A North Dakota farmer who has made headlines for his agriculture art is at it again, this time with a controversial message.

Gene Hanson, of Edgeley, N.D., decided to plow out "we stand for the national anthem" in his farm field.

Hanson wrote it in response to NFL players who protested the anthem before games.

It took Hanson two hours to make the message and was done with his tractor and disc. Overall, the words span across two football fields.

In the past, Hanson has plowed a Prince symbol and the words "Feel the Bern" into his field.
