The University of Jamestown and Valley City State University were named among the top 10 online colleges and universities in North Dakota on Tuesday by

The Foster City, Calif.-based ranks accredited colleges and universities around the country on 14 different factors of affordability, student services and availability of online programs.

The University of North Dakota topped the poll of 16 schools, followed by North Dakota State University-Main Campus, North Dakota State College of Science, VCSU, University of Mary, Lake Region State College, Minot State University, Mayville State University, Dickinson State University and UJ as the top 10 online schools.

According to the list, VCSU has distance education, nine online programs and was recognized for career counseling and placement services. UJ has distance education, no online programs and was recognized for career counseling, placement services and a life experience credit.
