A 54-year-old Bismarck, N.D., man died Saturday when the motorcycle he was driving struck a Kenworth truck, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said Sunday.
The crash occurred at 5:38 p.m. 2 miles south of Sterling on U.S. Highway 83.
The patrol said the Bismarck man was driving a 2016 Victory motorcycle south on the highway and Bruce Schneider, 55, Williston, was driving a 2012 Kenworth truck hauling a Frac Blender north on the same highway.
The patrol said the motorcycle crossed the center line and struck the truck on the front driver's side bumper. The patrol said the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. Schneider was not injured in the crash. He was wearing a seat belt.
The crash is under investigation.
