STUTSMAN COUNTY, N.D. -- Authorities have lifted a shelter in place order for people living in Stutsman County.
The county initially sent out the emergency alert at 11:19 p.m., August 9.
According to the alert, the sheriff's office was looking for two people, a man and a woman.
Both fled from a traffic stop on foot.
A dispatcher with the sheriff's office confirmed law enforcement was specifically in the area south of Interstate 94, and east of Jamestown.
After searching for five hours, the sheriff's office lifted the shelter in place order.
Deputies believe the suspects have left the area.
According to Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser, the suspects are known to law enforcement.
Both have active felony warrants and the man is known to carry a weapon.
