The City Board of Adjustment unanimously approved Wednesday, Sept. 15, a variance request of 41 parking spaces to construct a quick-serve restaurant at the former location of Hong Kong Buffet at 605 25th St. SW in Jamestown.

The Jamestown Planning Commission approved Monday, Sept. 13, a lot combination for lots 1-2 on block 7 of Lowry’s Subdivision to construct a new 2,400-square-foot restaurant building.

Pentex Restaurant Group, which owns Taco John’s, is the applicant on the application for approval of the lot combination. Ninth Skaff Apartments of ND is the property owner listed on the application for approval of the lot combination.

The building that housed Hong Kong Buffet was demolished in August.
