The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the 63-year-old Jamestown man killed in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday, Nov. 16, on U.S. Highway 52/281 about 2 miles north of Jamestown.
Richard LeFevre was driving a 2003 Buick Century westbound on 32nd Street Southeast shortly before 5:15 p.m. and approached an intersection at Highway 52, while Aubrey Wock, 35, Buchanan, N.D., was driving a 2009 Toyota Venza with two juveniles northbound on Highway 52 in the right lane.
The Buick attempted to cross Highway 52 in order to travel southbound and was struck by the Toyota on the driver's side, the patrol said. Both vehicles continued northwest into the median.
Wock and the boy and girl in her vehicle were transported by Jamestown Area Ambulance to Jamestown Regional Medical Center and treated for nonlife-threatening injuries, the patrol said. LeFevre was pronounced deceased at the scene, the patrol said.
LeFevre was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said. Wock was wearing a seat belt and both juveniles were in their car seats, the patrol said.
The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department and Jamestown Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene.
The patrol is investigating the crash.
