A 38-year-old Strasburg, N.D., woman died Wednesday following a rollover crash north of Tappen, N.D., the North Dakota Highway Patrol reported.
The one-car crash occurred at about 7:39 a.m. Wednesday, when a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan left the roadway and entered the median on eastbound Interstate 94 near mile marker 214. The driver steered back to the roadway and the minivan rolled and came to a stop in the ditch.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene, the patrol said. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and no vehicle airbags deployed.
The patrol is investigating the crash. The name of the driver will be released Thursday pending notification of next of kin.
Steele Police Department, Kidder County Sheriff’s Office, Kidder County Ambulance, Steele Fire Department and Sanford AirMed also responded to the scene.
