Body identified; no foul play involved
The body of a man found in Barnes County in April has been identified, said Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin in a Wednesday news release.
The body identified as David Palmer, 57, was recovered on April 22 southeast of Luverne, N.D., at 12th Street Southeast. Palmer died of hypothermia and there was no foul play involved in the case, McClaflin said.
Palmer’s body had no identification and was sent to the University of North Dakota Medical School for an autopsy. The body was identified by fingerprints on May 6 and family was notified, McClaflin said.
This case was investigated by the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Barnes County Sheriff’s Office.
