Rapid City woman identified in fiery crash fatality
RAPID CITY, S.D. - A 26-year-old Rapid City woman has been identified following a fatal two-vehicle crash south of Rapid City on Tuesday, May 7.
Hannah Drake was making a left-hand turn onto Highway 79 from Spring Creek Road when it pulled in front of a 2004 Ford Freestar, driven by James Broderick 71, of Rapid City, the South Dakota Department of Public Safety report said. The collision ignited a fire to Drake's 2010 Honda CRV and she was unable to get out of the burning vehicle.
Broderick suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. He was wearing a seat belt, authorities said.
