Driver dies after rollover crash in southeast North Dakota

OAKES, N.D. — A Texas man has died from injuries he suffered in a rollover crash Monday, May 13, in Dickey County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The crash happened about 11:45 p.m. on a gravel road 2 1/2 miles south of Oakes, a town about 113 miles southwest of Fargo.

A 63-year-old man from Crystal City, Texas, was driving a 2001 GMC Yukon north on 111th Avenue Southeast, about a half mile south of state Highway 11, when he lost control of the vehicle, overcorrected and rolled into a ditch, the patrol said.

The driver was taken to CHI Oakes Hospital where he died, the patrol said. His identity was not released.
