BISMARCK — Authorities on Friday, Jan. 10, released the identity of a woman killed in a head-on collision in McKenzie County, N.D. on Thursday morning.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said Amelia Johnson, 58, of Alexander, N.D., was driving a Chevrolet Cavalier westbound on U.S. Highway 85 when she swerved into the eastbound lanes and struck a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck head-on.

The driver of the truck, 27-year-old Timothy Wolfe, was taken by ambulance to a Williston hospital with serious injuries. Both drivers were restrained by seatbelts and airbags did deploy, according to the patrol.
