ANAMOOSE, N.D. — Two people died in a head-on crash when their vehicle was struck by a pickup on Thursday, March 4, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.
The crash occurred at about 7:27 p.m. on U.S. Highway 52, 1 mile southeast of Anamoose, N.D.
The patrol said Jordan Timm, 30, of Harvey, N.D., was traveling northwest on the two-lane highway in a 2016 Ford F-150 when he entered the opposite lane to pass a semi-truck. While attempting to pass the semi-truck, the driver struck a 2006 Pontiac Montana minivan head-on.

The minivan driver, Julia Aultman, 49, of Martin, N.D., and her passenger, Patrick Hugi, 55, of Martin, died at the scene, the patrol said.
Timm was flown to Trinity Hospital in Minot for injuries suffered in the crash.
The drivers were wearing seat belts; the passenger in the minivan was not, the patrol said.
The patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
