One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident near Binford, North Dakota, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at 2:47 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, on N.D. Highway 65 about 7 miles east of Binford.

An Oldsmobile Alero, driven by Dale Kinzler, 72, was eastbound on Highway 65, traveling to Cooperstown. A 2003 International Harvester semi driven by Rylan Briss, 23, was southbound on 110th Avenue Northeast approaching the intersection of Highway 65. The semi-driver failed to yield for the Oldsmobile, the patrol said.

The Oldsmobile attempted to brake but struck the right side of the semi. Briss was not injured, but Kinzler was transported by Sanford AirMed to Fargo and was listed in stable condition.

The Highway Patrol was assisted by the Steele County Sheriff's Office, Cooperstown Fire Department and Cooperstown Ambulance. The crash remains under investigation
