A 17-year-old rural Jamestown teenager suffered a spinal injury after a one-vehicle rollover accident early last week, according to the Stutsman County Sheriff's Office.
The accident happened shortly after midnight on Sept. 24 near the intersection of 52nd Street Southeast and 90th Street Southeast.
Carleigh Jansen, 17, Jamestown, was driving a 1999 General Motors SUV southbound on 90th Avenue Southeast and started to enter the curve into 52nd Street Southeast when a deer appeared, according to the sheriff's report. She attempted to swerve to miss the deer and lost control on the gravel surface.
The SUV slid into the south shoulder and rolled. It came to rest on its top in the bottom of the south ditch, the report said.
A 17-year-old Jamestown boy sustained a spinal injury and was later flown to a Fargo hospital. All three girls were treated and released from Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Jansen, and two other girls, ages 14 and 16, suffered minor injuries. No one in the vehicle wore a seat belt.
There was an estimated $10,000 in damage to the SUV.
No citations were issued.
