MINOT, N.D. (AP) -- An Arkansas man has been charged with attempted murder in a stabbing outside a Minot bar over the Labor Day weekend.
The Minot Daily News reports that 32-year-old Thomas Mashburn was arrested early on Sept. 5 after allegedly stabbing another man in the throat.
Defense attorney Robert Martin says no weapon was found on Mashburn, and he says the only witnesses identifying his client as the assailant seem to be friends of the victim. Police Lt. Jason Sundbakken says the man who was stabbed picked Mashburn out of a photo lineup.
A pretrial conference is scheduled for Dec. 21.
